2010 Georgia Mountain Rally
Join us at the 2010 Georgia Mountain Rally in Hiawassee, GA at the
Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds
Music Park in Hiawassee, GA, just off Hwy 76 in Hiawassee
Some of the finest and twistiest roads in the southeast make this rally a must. The beautiful
North Georgia Mountain location is in close proximity to Deal's Gap, the Cherohala Skyway, Wolf Pen
Gap, Two Wheels Only (TWO), Brasstown Bald, Richard Russell Scenic Parkway, Blood Mountain (Hwy 129),
Nantahala, Wyah Bald, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and much more. Also, the Fairgrounds are
convenient to all stores, restaurants, and shops in Hiawassee.
What's included in your rally fee?
Here's the full event schedule. Highlights include:
- 2 nights of tent camping at the Fairgrounds -- shady campsites and hot showers
- Friday and Saturday dinners are included
- Many vendors, door prizes and awards
- Door prizes include a Kermit Chair and an Aerostich Darien or Roadcrafter suit
- A vintage bike show
- Fred Veator's poker run
- Food vendors on site
- Live bluegrass music in the vendor area
- Seminars
- The MOA gives two MOA Foundation Rider talks, one called 'Alert Rider' and another for 'Mature Riders' courtesy of Roger Wiles
- Skert will demonstrate how any size of rider can pick up just about any size of bike
- Mr. Jim Oliver will present about his trips in Russia and Alaska
- Hawk Hagebak will talk on Murphy's Law
- Dave Westfall's session will cover first aid for Downed Riders
- Fred Veator will discuss the foiner points of tent camping
- SkyMed presents a session on their emergency airlift services for injured riders
- Stayin' Safe, providers of the half-day street training course at the rally, is giving a daily seminar
- GMD Computrack's seminar on suspension setup
- A bonfire on steak night
- Free coffee all weekend
- Unlimited fun and fellowship
What else can I do at the rally?
- Stayin' Safe offers a half-day advanced
on-street training program just for our rally, featuring
cornering techniques on Hiawassee-area curvy roads, with individual feedback from your
instructor via in-helmet speakers. Check out the

and sign up here. This $225 session
starts Friday at 8AM; additional sessions will be added as needed.
- BMW Performance Center will conduct dual sport rides designed for intermediate-level riders
comfortable with fire roads, gravel roads, and minor stream crossings free of charge.
Rides will include limited instruction/suggestions and riding tips. Sessions Friday 10-11AM and 2-3:30PM; Saturday 8-9:30AM and 11AM-1PM.
Camping at the Rally
The rally fee
includes 2 nights camping at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds
Music Park. Camping before and/or after rally dates requires separate
fee(s) paid directly to the campground office, but a special rally rate is offered.
RV Camping requires an additional fee.
Full Throttle Camping offers a 10% discount now through May 15th.
