What a treat after riding some of the best roads I have been on in weeks I get the treat of coming across my first covered bridge on the flying brick! I wanted to stop in the middle of it and take a shot but with out spotters on either end and one lane I didn't want to stop in the middle of the bridge it was dark inside. What a great day for a ride. I wonder what else I'll find finishing up this challenge and riding the others?

I've ridden that one too way back when I was out seeking courthouses. It's in such an out-of-the-way place, but is a really nice park. I want to go back there and camp one night, one of these days...err..nights.

Thanks for reminding me.

I found one across the Flint river over by Columbus GA without even trying. When I came to the (dirt) road that said Covered Bridge Road, I turned. No not going down that road!!!!:)

I think I've got a GPS location and some pics somewheres...

Sometimes I'll look at a road turn off and wonder "where does that road go" I now think my GPS unit has the same thoughts but acts on the thought and has me ride down that road. Can bluetooth pick up brain waves?

I didn't get to ride all weekend, with work and church taking up all the good daylight riding time, so I couldn't wait to get off work early today and see if I could make up for the hard weekend. I was able to pick up three more State Parks for the challenge, a good afternoon of riding.

GPS only took us down one dirt road, me and my 600+ pound dirt bike! You hear the GPS girlie tell you to turn and follow this road for 2 miles, then the pavement ends, but you think "two miles it can't get that bad!" The road then does the hard packed gravel to loose gravel then no gravel, down to tire tracks in the dirt, all the time your watching the little screen saying "this has to come out somewhere!" and it does in the before mentioned two miles, your happy and thinking I should mark this road as an "avoidance" so I can route around it next time, but it was fun, in the middle of the day the mud wasn't that bad, maybe I could do it again? Thanks GPS another road I wouldn't have picked to go down myself, the joys of being lost and knowing right where you are!

with work and rain taking up most of the morning and afternoon along with a small group meetng tonight it was a State Park quickie for me today. Missing all the rain but riding on wet roads, I zipped down to Hard Labor SP and back, a nice over cast afternoon for a ride. Douglas
