02 R1150RS. Battery new and in excellent shape. No other issues at all.
The left rear turn signal works intermittently. I have changed the bulb, and bent both connectors (front and rear) so that contact appears to be good. When I have bent the front one, I have made the signal work again. But only for a while.
The bulb that is currently in use was purchased at a convenience store, and is probably meant for autos. Do BMW turn signals use a different (but similar looking) bulb than autos do?
I am using a turn signal bulb, not a brake light bulb. That I know. I accidentally bought a brake light bulb the first time I went into the convenience store, so I know that part. The original bulb I replaced MAY not have been bad, as the same symptoms were apparently occuring before I threw the baby out with the bathwater.
Any help for this minor tech problem will be appreciated.
