i am a new member to bmwmoga, even though i have rideen since 1973 and owned beemers since 1976.. this 1976 R90/6 is my 4'th.. this was also my 1'st ralley, and i could not believe what a wonderful experience it was.. when i arrived, i discovered my bike had fallen over in the trailer, but several people helped me get it picked up and off the steep ramp on my trailer.. that was when we discovered that i was missing 2 bolts and a nut that hold the muffler up.. i am afraid i do not remember the names of everyone that helped me, but one person took me to someone who had spare nuts / bolts ( who just happened to have something to fit my 1976 r/90 ).. then someone heard i was looking for a place to get a set of tires, and even though i had not spoken to them directly, they took the time to find me and give me the name,ph# and directions of a place in dahlonega that was open on saturday.. i can't thank all of these people enough, but i hope i can repay the favor someday.. bottom line is, everyone was extremely helpful, and even though we had some rain, i did not hear the 1'st negative word from anyone.. even the campers in tents, who suffer most in a rainy campground.. i wish i had joined 32 years ago when i got my 1'st beemer.. if any of the folks who helped me read this, drop me a line.. would love to hear from you... tnx again, jim dunlap; locust grove:emoticon-0144-nod:
